Amy is an early career researcher and has previously worked on the Victim Choice Quality Mark assessment process for Supporting Justice.
She joined the National Probation Service in 2019 where she continues to work supervising and supporting those who have received a Community Payback Order. She has helped to create links with community projects across Bristol to ensure offenders engage in constructive ways to repair the harms caused by their crime.
She is also currently completing a PhD in Social Policy at the University of Bristol. Her research is focused on the exclusionary effects of the post-sentence restrictions experienced by those with a criminal record in England and Wales, for example victims who are excluded from Criminal Injury Compensation due to prior convictions. She is a member of the European Society of Criminology and the Centre for the Study of Poverty and Social Justice at the University of Bristol.
